INGREDIENTS

  • 125g Butter
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3 Ripe Bananas
  • 2 Cups Cake Flour
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 1/2 Cup Boiling Water

METHOD

  1. Begin by creaming together the butter and sugar.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla essence to the mixture and combine well.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas and add them to the mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly incorporated.
  4. Sift the cake flour and baking powder together, then add them to the mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the boiling water, then add it to the mixture.
  6. Grease a loaf tin and pour the batter into it.
  7. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for the specified time.

OPTIONAL: For added flavor and texture, you can incorporate nuts or raisins into the mixture.
