Stir Fried Steak

Steak Stir Fry Recipe

I could indulge in Asian cuisine every day! Today, I’m sharing a versatile dish that can be crafted with various ingredients like steak, chicken, seafood, or even vegetables. It’s a quick and simple steak stir fry, featuring two classic Asian components and fresh aromatic elements. The best part? It’s ready in no time.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200g Steak Strips
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 5g Thinly Sliced Ginger
  • 3 Cloves Diced Garlic
  • 1/2 large Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 heaped tbsp Spring Onions
  • Pepper
  • Salt (optional)

METHOD

  1. Start by coating the steak strips with cornstarch.
  2. Heat a wok and add sesame oil or olive oil. Add the coated steak and cook until it turns slightly crispy and golden. Once cooked, remove it from the wok.
  3. In the same heated wok, add fresh diced garlic and thinly sliced ginger. Cook for about a minute to release their aromatic flavours, then add the sliced onions.
  4. Toss in the diced chilli, soy sauce, oyster sauce, a touch of sugar, and a bit of water.
  5. Mix everything and let the sauce thicken. Season with pepper and add spring onions. No need for extra salt as soy and oyster sauce are already salty. Salt is optional.
  6. Serve your Asian Steak Stir Fry with jasmine rice or egg fried rice and savour the flavours.
