  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon jeera seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 elachi pod
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 2 sliced chillies
  • 1 sprig of curry leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon dhania jeera powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon breyani spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons Kashmiri special mix masala
  • 1 grated tomato
  • 1/2 teaspoon tomato paste
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 can of butter beans, washed and drained
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Coriander for garnish

METHOD

  1. Start by braising onions, whole spices, garlic, chillies, and curry leaves.
  2. Add the ground spices and mix well to release their flavors.
  3. Incorporate the grated tomato and season with salt to your taste.
  4. Add the potatoes and water, allowing the potatoes to cook until nearly tender.
  5. Once the potatoes are almost cooked, introduce the can of butter beans.
  6. Let the gravy thicken to perfection.
  7. Garnish the curry with fresh coriander.
